UPDATE

Due to everything in the world being terrible, the site is experiencing some technical difficulties that are stopping me from uploading page 18 to the website. It can however be read HERE (more info below).

Okay, so I'm just gonna kind of take this moment to speak on the Tuft Luck project as a whole. There is already an about section, but I just wanna give a little insight into where things are at in this place in time.

Tuft Luck was created as a passion project alongside my animated web series The Parade of Screw Ups. I felt that having both a comic and an animated series would help me express all of the different creative ideas that had been swimming around in my head for some years...because my head is a fish tank I guess? IDK. Anyway, Tuft Luck pages are hand drawn, inked and then physically scanned at least once a week and have been for the last few months.

At the moment I am releasing pages for free for a very small audience, but once the overall story is complete, I'm gonna be releasing it as a self published graphic novel. Fun, right? Sure, whatever. So if you are able to follow the story as it's coming out, not only is it a free comic but the support you offer helps motivate me to get the damn thing finished! And lord knows when working on a graphic novel and animated series at the same time, external motivation helps!

Unfortunately, both Whatsapp and Blogger...two free to use and access platforms that I thought would be fun places to drop the pages as I continued the book are...well how do I word this? ...shit.

They are shit.

Whatsapp Channels only allows for posts to last up to 3 months, which isn't that bad but it seems that even after a week or so if you haven't at least opened the image the post remains but the file itself is lost. So effectively, you can't read it even if you're still in that 3 month window.

Then there's blogger, which I thought would be fun in a nostalgic way, but over the last few weeks, I've noticed the site making changes and updating their cookie policies in ways that has started to screw around with my browsers. At the moment, I can't seem to upload today's page onto the blog. As I said, it will all be available in book form down the line, but it's still a shame if it can't be fixed.

So what does this mean for the future?

ABSOLUTLEY buy the upcoming book if you're enjoying it so far. I know that's easy for me to say from the salesman perspective, but Tuft Luck was always meant to be enjoyed in print form. Moreover, I have every intention of continuing the adventures of Tuft Luck after this first book, and not so much in web form.

If you're enjoying reading along the most effective way to keep up is just to check in on the comic via Whatsapp every Tuesday/Wednesday. Like all annoying social media things, there is an option to have notifications turned on in the top section (the little bell), so you catch it before it disappears.

I'll give it a couple more weeks of trying to upload here before I give up entirely. But regardless, trust me that things are only just getting started for the unlucky black cat.

Aw, that last bit was corny as hell. Ew!
