Very productive week! Lots of pages done. Tuft is supposed to be wrapped in his blanket on this page, but I'm not sure how clear that is.
Also, I JUST found out that blogger has a view count that shows you how many people look at each post and page. Completely missed it. I kid you not, didn't actually realise that anyone was really reading this. Was pretty much just posting it for myself. So imagine my surprise to see A SMALL NUMBER OF VIEWERS each month. Shocking. I am shocked.
I told you there's a conspiracy again me drawing. This week it's an dodgy wrist. I've taken a couple days off but I've got a gig later today and still plenty of animating and illustrating to do outside of that and well...money never sleeps! So I'm going to try and drink more water, pause and do some stretches while I go and hopefully next week, you won't be hearing that my hand has fallen off.
So after some deliberation with the committee of people who have had covid...
I'm pretty sure the flu I mentioned last week was covid. So that would explain why I couldn't get anything done. This past week at has still been lingering but I'm mostly better. Although I still feel like its zapped my energy a bit sometimes.
As much as a try to post these a bit earlier on the day, would you believe that I've actually only just woken up! I mean that's probably because I was up at 4am animating and scanning pages. But still, let's blame covid.
Also the other day I was using a different computer...did you know that if you type Tuft Luck the Unlucky Black Cat into your search engine, this website CANNOT be found anywhere. People will have to buy the book after all. Outrageous.
Something a bit different this week. When this comic is finally printed, I thought it'd be fun to have the odd full colour page. Anyway, my scanner didn't do a great job at getting all the colours so for now you'll have to deal with my crappy phone camera. Whatever. Does the job for today.
Had the flu for over a week which has been a BLAST. Seems like every time I start making good progress on these pages something happens to stop it in its tracks. But I'm very eager to get the book done and out into the world so, here's hoping it's done soon. At this point I'm kind of glad the web release of this comic only has about 5 active followers because my plan has always been to release the book somewhere between page 30 and 40 but it's looking very likely the whole thing will be uploaded before it's even available.
That being said, the small crew of you reading in more or less real time has been a nice motivator to keep me doing AT LEAST a page a week. And as a prolific internet pirate (allegedly) I enjoy the idea of someone stumbling across this site when the book is out and realising they don't have to buy it, cos that's always a great feeling. Is that bad business? Maybe. What are you gonna do about it? You can't control me...I mean what are you? My mum? Again, maybe. She has been reading these the last few weeks. Hi mum. Hello fellow internet pirates. And hello poor sales on my book.
